I am so loving this new lifestyle people! Got off work today and went to physical therapy. I'm hopeful that they'll be able to make this slipped disc a little less painful for me. After that I brought Nick breakfast at work, made a quick stop at the grocery store, washed the car, and finally made it home at about 10am. I threw dinner in the crock pot, laid down, and fell right to sleep. When I woke up at 445 I was SO tired! But, of course, couldn't fall back to sleep. I laid in bed for an hour asking myself 'To gym or not to gym'. After remembering how awesome I felt after the gym I drug my SORE butt out of bed. Literally, sore butt! I love riding my bike but I hate that my butt gets bruised! My body will get used to it eventually I guess! Had an awesome workout at the gym, did a little red light therapy, tanning, and rode home. By that time Nick was FINALLY home from school. We ate our delicious hawiian garlic teryaki chicken over rice, watched the news, showered, and got in bed by 10pm. Go us! Haha I love that I have a little more normalcy in my life! I know things will get busy and change but for right now I am completely content.

I'm A New Woman!
All my school work is done. One final to take next Tuesday. Now all I have is work!! Friends, I am a new woman! Here is why:
-Got a new gym pass at planet fitness and I love it there! I'm so much more comfortable there than I was at golds. They have circuit training which gives me the best workouts I've had in a long time. Plus it's not too far away do I ride my bike there for a little extra workout time and calories burned. Live it.
-I now have TIME to wok out and focus on myself for a change instead of school and everything else that was on my plate.
-I have gotten re-acquainted with my hubby! Nick and I have both been going to school and working full time since we got married. In a week it will officially be school-no-more! Well, eventually I want to go back to school and so does he but for now, it's just working. LOVE that idea!
-yesterday I had my first interview for a nursing job! I want the position DO badly! I'm not telling we're cause Udot want to jinx it but ... Fingers crossed!!
I'm at a little less of a meltdown and filled with more excitement about this crossroads. Can't wait to see what is in store!
Pictures:
-Nick and Haley waiting for the rain to stop so we can go swimming!
-Nick and I waiting the rain out
-Ayden while we were babysitting
-Savannah and I playing the guitar on Sunday
-Me driving to my interview. Can you see my nervous eyes!?
-Wearing my Provo college scrubs for the last time EVER
-Nick loving our new mattress! :)

Tis the season ...
For BABIES!! Work has been in-SANE! June, July, an August were projected as busy busy months for our unit and boy were they right! I'm very grateful though that now I can work 3 nights a week and not have to worry about extra hours at clinicals or tons of class and studying time on top of it all. Only a week and 4 days till finals!! Awesome!!
Today after work I went to class and once I got home I could not sleep! What the heck!? I ended up sleeping from like 530-630 until Nick got home. After that we ate a quick dinner and went mattress shipping. My back feels better just THINKING about it! Although it makes my wallet hurt a little, it's so needed. We bought a cheap mattress when we got married and probably should have gotten rid of it a while ago. We didn't end up purchasing because we want to sit on the cost a little bit and make sure it's what we want but I'm sure we will be back there tomorrow paying RC Willey. Can't wait to sleep on that serta icomfort!
Tomorrow I'll be getting some homework, working tomorrow night, then it's onto the weekend! Swimming in Heber on Saturday and dinner with the Stika's ok Sunday. Love me my weekends!

My Gal
Today was SO needed. Got up this morning an headed to a Dr appt at 830 to address a few issues I've got going on. I know ... SUPRISE!! Sadey's got issues! No, not that kind of issues. Doc prescribed me physical therapy for my back pain that's getting worse, and meds for my asthma and acid reflux. After that I was off to pick up my gal, miss Malia Jayne. It was a girls day for sure. We went to Old Navy and got us some flip flops, Dollar Store for some chalk and other park toys, intermission to get fingerprinted for my RN LICENSE, Cafe Rio, my house for lung and nail painting, got a snowie, played at the park, and then it was time to drop her off. When we got there I talked to Bethie for a few hours with some MUCH needed girl talk, and played with the kiddos while Beth made some dinner. And then she wrapped up the second lasagna she had made and gave it to me to take home. Um ... HELLO! First of all I love lasagna. Second, I love homemade food. Third, I love the fact that all I ha to do was pop that bad boy in the oven and then enjoy!! She's the best. Seriously.
After my yummo dinner I enjoyed laughing out loud by myself to 'Yhe Bachelorette: Men Tell All'. Seriously, I kept cracking up. Then I FINALLY got around to writing a paper I've needed to for weeks. And I even finished it. Hallelujah. Only two weeks left of paper writing people. Oh thank heaven!

Work.
Advisory warning: This post is me venting. And by venting I might mean complaining a little bit. We all need it every once in a while right?
I feel like lately the word 'work' is the theme of my life. What do I mean by that exactly? I mean EVERYTHING is revolving around things I need to work on and it's getting overwhelming. I need to work to finish up my school work. I need to go to work. I need to work to keep my house clean. I need to work on going to church every week. I need to work harder to save money. I need to work on loosing weight. I need to work on being a better wife for Nick. I need to work to be a better friend. I need to work on finishing projects people have asked me for. I need to work on finding me a job. I need to work on helping my family. I need to work to spend more time with them. I even feel like I need to work hard to be happy lately. Why is that something I feel like I need to work for? I've never ever felt like this before! I'm hoping that in a couple weeks once school is done I can 'work' on getting everything back in order and remember my priorities. But for now, I'm just plain old overwhelmed.
On the bright side ... I'm picking up little miss in the morning for a girls day. No matter what's going on that little lady always reminds me how awesome life is and not to sweat the small things. Can't wait to see her!

Same old
Workin and school friends, working and school. Tonight is, however, my last clinical of nursing school!! Ever!! So ... To celebrate I made peanut butter bars to bring after I got off work this morning. Did I mention I worked in the nursery last night? Oh and did I also mention we admitted TWELVE babies last night!? Yes my friends, one-two. 12. Twelve. Needless to say I was grateful to be walking out of the hospital this morning with some sanity intact. I surprised my Nick at work and brought him breakfast. Then I whipped out peanut butter bars as fast as I could, did the dishes, changed, and now I'm all ready for some shut eye. Actually I'm more than ready. Aaaaaand ... Sadey out.

Super Saturday and Sunday
Saturday our time was spent at my cousin Chad's wedding visiting with family, dinner with the Stika's, grocery shopping with the girls, then enjoying the sunset and warm weather playing in the front yard. Sunday we went to my patents for some yummy steak, corn, biscuits, peach cobbler, and ice cream. DELISH!! Afterwards we watched a movie together. We ended the night with a motorcycle ride to my uncle Mike's house to buy a gun :) All in all, an awesome family filled weekend.
This week is going to be a doozy for me. I work Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday night with clinicals Monday and Wednesday night. I have school 9-3 Tuesday and 9-10 Thursday. Yes my friends, that is a 67 hour work week. Ick. That's not including Nicky Wayne's work and school schedule which is usually opposite of mine. Won't be seeing much of him this week :( but the good news is that Monday and Wednesday are my last clinicals!! Thank heaven! Only 4 weeks and 1 day left!!

Negative Nelly
That's right. I'm a negative Nelly today. Here's why:
1. I have a major cold. Or major allergies. Or ridiculous sinuses. Whatever it is I'm super congested, I can't stop coughing/sneezing, my head feels like its going to explode, and my nose is constantly running which makes my nose so sore from the tissues.
2. I have seen my husband a grand total of 3 hours since Sunday. Awesome. (I guess technically its more like 10 but only 3 were awake hours)
3. I've worked the last 2 nights and I still have tonight and tomorrow to go. Yes, that is a 48 hour week friends.
4. I'm already dreading next week which is a 60 hour week for me between my capstone shifts and work.
5. My family is camping this week and I'm not. My favorite thing to do is be outdoors and all I do is work all night so I can sleep the day away.
6. People in Utah are stupid. Our whole state has basically burned to a crisp this summer and yet another fire was started in one of our family's frequently visited canyons in American Fork this week.
Okay, phew. So glad I got my little pity party out there. Maybe now I can quit being Negative Nelly and just get on with it.
Let's talk Positive Patty:
1. I only have 2 shifts left this week which is 2 less than I had this time Tuesday.
2. I get to sleep all day tomorrow.
3. It's raining!! (My favorite weather)
4. My knee is starting to heal and not hurt all the time
5. I painted my friends nails super ute
Well friends, that's about all I've got.

I been lazy
Seriously, so lazy. Sleeping in every day I can till 11 or 12. But hey can you blame me? I'm one sleepy gal. In the past couple days we have:
-cuddled up to a movie in the middle of the day
-slept in
-BBQed with friends
-swimming in Heber
-worked (of course)
-done homework together
Super exciting right? So here are the few pictures that I have.
P.S. No we don't beat our nephew. He fell out of a shopping cart and hit his head on the floor. They took him to the ER but luckily all he has is a huge goose egg and 2 black eyes. Poor guy.
P.P.S. The nasty cut is from a little pool game of sharks and minnows. Sometimes you gotta be brave And play fish out of water. And sometimes that means taking a chunk out of the knee. It didn't hurt that bad until I had to hydrogen peroxide it ... And shower. Ouch.
P.P.S. The 'Big Ben' is what Maddy brought Nick home from Europe hahaha
