Pictures, Cake, and Flowers ... Oh My!

Since Wednesdays are my day off that is the day I try and squeeze in wedding to-do's (and by squeeze in I mean STUFF in).

Today started with a little sleep in (I had do it, it's my only day off!) So I rolled out of bed at 9:30 and went to pick up momma at 10. Off we went to my dress fitting. This was the first time mom has seen the dress with the sash, pin, and shoes and gosh did we get a little choked up.

After the fitting it was off to check out some invitations. We are getting them done at Pro Digital Photos on PG Main. P.S. I totally suggest them for pictures, announcements, invitations, etc. They have the cutest stuff for aweseome prices! Anyways, we looked at some styles of other invitations and got a few ideas of what we like.

We went to meet up with Cristi who's doing the cake. We came up with a gorgeous design which I think is going to look absolutely awesome. I called the temple and reserved the date and it's official. August 12th at 9:15am and Nick with be stuck with me forever-ever! :)

Mom and I sqoze in Roberts, Expedex, snowies, and even brought Nick lunch at work. We met up with my friend Shay at Timp Valley Floral at 2:00 and chose some gorgeous arrangements and such for the wedding. I am stinkin excited about those :)

Last stop of the day was at Beth's and we designed the invitations. They turned out ADORABLE thanks to Beth and the aweseome photographer and editor that she is. Got to hang out with her and the kiddos for a while, had dinner, and helped get the kids to bed. Beth and i finished the inserts and had time to spare to talk. She is such an aweseome example to me and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.

All in all I would say this was a very productive day! The wedding is finally coming together and I'm getting more and more excited. August 12th sure is coming up quick!

Hot Happenings

This past week was alot of fun! Here's a quick list of the happenings :)
Monday: I got extensions! Oh baby! Oh baby! I mostly like the long hair. It's kinda a pain to take care of but I sure think it's kinda cute!

Tuesday: Nick and I went to my parents house for Dad's birthday dinner. Nick even took over the family BBQ for the night and cooked us up some amazing steaks!

Wednesday: Had the day off of work so I slept in then went to the pool with the lovely Shaylynn. It was finally warm enough to try out our new pool loungers. They're great!

Thursday: Nick went with some friends to Wendover so Shay and I decided we would have some fun of our own! We went to my new favorite restaurant called Pei Wei. Pretty much identical to PF Changers but a little easier on the wallett :) After that we went and saw Letters to Juliet which we both LOVED! Definietly suggest that one as a must see. We went and hung out in the hot tub for a little while then got us some ice cream and went back to her house to enjoy that and some Alice in Wonderland. Definietly didn't like it but meh, at least now I can say I've seen it. All in all it was a blast! P.S. I am getting old. I started yawning at like 10:00 but I fought through it and didn't go home till 1. Not a big deal for some but a huge feat for me :)

Friday: Nick and I both had the day off of work and we went furniture shopping! We bought a bed, dresser, mirror, and 2 nightstands. They're so stinkin gorgeous. It was such a fun experience to do that together and physically get some things ready for our future together.

Engagements Preview

Okay, so my amazing, wonderful, fantastic photographer friend let me have a sneek peek at Nick and I's engagment pictures and I can't help but share. Now keep in mind these are all unedited but I think they look SO good already! Can't wait to see the final pictures :)

Life's Essentials: Food, Family, Fun, and Fire

Nick and I spent the rest of Sunday afternoon spending time at my parents house in Pleasant Grove having a BBQ, surprise waterfight, going on a hike, and eating smores around the bonfire. I love spending time with my family. It's been aweseome to see Nick just squeeze right into our family to become the 6th member. He and my dad get along SO well, mom adores him, and the kiddos like him lots! I mean come on .. why wouldn't they?? :)

Here's me after stealing the hose from Savannah.

Dad got in on the waterfight too

Me soaking wet, Nick completely dry

Riding in the back of the truck

Tarzan's Pit (or as Dad would call it ... Tarzan's Armpit) I admit, it isn't the cleanest water and doesn't smell too aweseome

Time With the Chadwicks

Ah Sundays with family :) I am so lucky to be marrying into a family that I get along with so well and feel like they are an extension of my own. Love them all so much! Me playing with Ayden. I LOVE this little guy.

Maddy, Haley, Ryan, and Emily

Nick, you're glowing! :P

The pool is NOT Ayden's favorite place to be.

Here's Haley and I enjoying some sunshine

Sure do love him!

Haley's Baptism

Nick's little sister Haley was baptized on the 5th. Nicks brother baptized her and Nick confirmed her the next day in sacrament meeting. It was such an aweseome experience to see Nick do that. We sure do love that little HaleyBird :) Congrats sweetie!

Memorial Day Festivities

So ... here are a few pictures from Memorial Day this year :) You will notice that my sweetheart isn't anywhere to be found in any of them though ... That is because he had to work ALL STINKIN DAY! Bummer ... He was missed! So was Taylor ... he bailed before I even got there that punk.

Savannah and I had some fun with my new camera app :)

My grandpa saw a skunk while we were eating. After a little more looking around, we found three more! Ooh they were so stinkin cute though! (pun intended)

Poppa K and I. I sure do love this guy!

Savy and I. Isn't she such a darling girl?

I find myself turning into this woman more and more every day. I'll do things and think "Oh no my mom says that!" or "Goodness, that was such an Anita thing" hehe

Some of the Stika family :) Uncle Bruce (Dad's brother), Dad, Auntie Franky (Bruce's wife), Aunt Cherri (Dad's sister), and Grandma Maureen (Dad's momma)

Can't see too well, but this is Grandma Maureen, Aunt Terry (Dad's sister) and Grandpa Ken

Here's Dad with his girlies. Savannah was not happy Mom was taking so many pictures but Mom didn't exactly care! (Savannah will thank her someday for the memories)

It was so good to be able to spend some time with the family and enjoy some sunshine!

After the family BBQ Shay and I decided to go ... yes, you guessed it ... lay out! Once it got a little overcast we hopped in the hot tub and continuted our girl talk. I am a true believer in swimming pool therapy :) All in all, it was a great day!

Oh Sunny Day!

So I am loving this summer already! Super super busy but I am somehow finding time to have fun in the sun :) I love love to lay out because A: I love to be tan ... and B: I love just talking for hours with someome I like to spend time with. I have been with Nick when we've both got the chance, and I've been going with my dear friend Shaylynn quite a bit! I just love her to pieces. I've never been one that is incredibly keen on the "girlfriends" thing besides a very choice few, and this girl is definietly one of em. I am so looking forward the fun to be had this summer!

This is my my recent summer idea, with help from a friend or two! I just bought this Swimways Pool Lounger so I can tan and keep cool, BUT (also got the idea from a friend), to laminate my class notes so I can study them too! Um ... Genius! Well I thought so anyways! Nicholas may or may not have thought it was a little ridiculous but I'll sure prove hime wrong! :)

P.S. Thank you Utah for finally choosing to be warm! Can you please keep it that way??

Hope everyone has a fun and safe summer!

P.P.S. 70 days!! 1680 hours!! 100,800 minutes!! I'm just saying ... :)
