So it is 3 in the morning and I'm sitting at work. There is an I pad and my 2.5 inch nursing book sitting in front of me. I've obviously chosen the I pad over the textbook. Can you blame me? Anyways, I started school on Monday and I am already feeling a bit overwhelmed. There is so much to learn in the next 20 months! All the nurses I work with keep assuring me that it will come and get easier and easier for me, but I'm still a little worried. Anyways, that is (obviously) keeping me very very busy.

Nick started up another semester at UVU and is liking his classes so far. No math for him this semester which he definitely loves :)

Still loving my job at IHC and Nick is still hanging out at Heritage.

I have been working on a quilt for the past few weeks and I am trying to hurry and get it done before I get too deep into school. I'll post pictures as soon as it's done. (And as soon as I charge my camera haha)

We've been doing really goot with the gym thing which has been good for us. Loosing Weight is always a good thing but ot only that but I feel a lot better.

Got to spend my gift card nick got me for Bohme and got some dasng cute shirts. He probably spent a little too much, but at least I look good right? :)

So sorry this post is oober lame but there is not much going on besides work and school. It seems to be overtaking our lives lately! hope everyone is doing great!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Recap

So .... I really miss my blog! :( I feel like I've been so busy with work, getting ready for school, my projects, visiting family, etc. that I haven't been able to take even a second to catch you all up! So not fair of me. But here is a little catch up of the holidays.

For Christmas Eve Nick and I went to my parents house for the traditional ham dinner. I don't think Christmas would feel the same to me without mom's ham, pineapple glaze, twice baked potatoes, and the fancy china. We ate until we were stuffed and then got to relax for a little bit. Then it was time to exchange some family presents because Nick and I wouldn't be there on Christmas Day. We'd all drawn names a few months earlier and exchanged those presents. Nick drew my dad and I drew Savannah. Savannah was easy to buy for cause she's so much like me :) Dad on the other hand was tough! We ended up finding him a pretty sweet Browning hoodie that he looks oh so handsome in. My family was so thoughtful with the gifts they got for Nick and I. I got some Greys Anatomy scrubs (which are the greatest scrubs ever in my opinion) and Nicky Wayne got a Jazz sticker for his car and some headphones. For the both of us they got us nice pans which we needed, some more dishes ( because I ran out of mugs when my family came over for donuts and hot chocolate :P ),and a jar for all my cooking stuff so I don't have to squeeze them in a drawer. Like I said, SO throughful! Exactly what we needed. After the present opening we all cuddled up on the couches downstairs and watched the movie Salt. I really liked it! Once the movie was over it was time to head home.

Christmas morning Nick and I wanted to have our own Christmas together before heading out to spend time with family. We opened presents together aroudn our cute little Christmas tree. Nick spoiled me which I kept telling him not to but, of course, that's who he is. I'm SO grateful for him and how much he shows me every single day that he loves me. Oops, off subject, Back to Christmas. Nick got me 3 pairs of shoes, Yes, THREE. One being my Toms which I am obsessed with wearing now. Looking for a pair of comfy shoes? Try em. anyways, shoes, clothes, a gift card to Bohme, and a purple under armour hoodie that I love love. Santa gave Nick 3 books, a pair of shoes, a Braun razor, and a movie. Lucky guy :)

Once the presents were opened we ran to my parents house for some breakfast. This wasn't part of the plan but once I talked to my mom in the morning and she talked to me about what they ate we decided we could make a quick stop :)

After that it was off to Grantsville. We met Nicks dad there and ate breakfast with his family at his uncles house. It was fun to see everyone that we don't get to see very often.

From Grantsville it was off to Heber City. We went to Momma Chadwicks house and opened some presents. Debbie gave me some YUMMY Juicy perfume and some comfy pajamas as well as a few shirts. Nicky Wayne got some Vercache  cologne, some sweats, and a nice jacket. Maddy got me some sweet headphones that I so desperately needed too. After that we ate some yummy dinner and hung out there for the rest of the night.

I think my favorite gift iI got tio give was the scarves that I had been working on. I made one for my Mom, Savannah, Debbie, Haley, and Maddy. It was fun to see them open something I'd worked on just for them.

I hope you all had a great holiday and remembered why we have Christmas. I'm so grateful for Nick and for our familyies and the time we get to spend with them. That, to me, is what holidays are all about.
