Meet the Chadwicks

Nick and I met in June of 2009. I was visiting a boyfriend at the time in Colorado and he was there visiting his mission. we had a mutual friend who invited everyone to go dancing, so we went! We didn't talk too much but I admit, I sure thought he was cute! He got brave and added me on Facebok a few days later. The boyfriend really didn't like that fact so I decided to delete Nick to avoid any arguements. Guess who I added first to my Facebook when me and the boyfriend broke up? You got it. Nicky Wayne :)

We talked a little here and there for about a month but never got together for a date. One day while studying for a biology test after work in the library I saw this tall handsome guy walking towards me. Ohmagosh! It was Nick! I all of the sudden got so nervous because I was still in my scrubs, didn't spend much time on my hair that day, or my makeup, etc. You know, typical nervous girl thoughts! So he kept walking over and all of the sudden he turned around and went in the opposite direction! I was so so bummed and knew that everything I had worried about I worried about for a good reason. So continued my studying totally bummed, but continued nontheless. A few minutes later I looked up and guess who I saw walking towards me again. You got it. Nicky Wayne!

We talked for a little while and he finally got up the nerve to ask me on a date! (He got some pretty big points for asking me to 1: a baseball game and 2: Chilis, one of my favorites!) We went out and had a blast together and have been together ever since!

This is Nick and I about 4 days after our first
date after we'd gone to church together.
We went to Laramie, WY and Parker, CO together about a month into us dating to visit my cousin and to go visit his mission. I decided that this trip would be the make or break to see if I was really going to date him for the long haul. Needless to say, we had a blast together and the trip was a huge step in our relationship. We had hours in the care to talk together, I got to meet people he taught and got to know on his mission, we got to know eachother on more of a testimony and spiritual level, and it was just a blast to really become good friends.

Well the dating continued and we found ourselves more and more "twitterpated", as my dad would say, with eachother. We decided to do another trip in March wich eachother all the way to Florida. This was going to be my first trip on an airplane and the furthest I'd ever been away from Utah. I was so excited! I thought that maybe maybe he was going to propose while we were there so I decided to ask him a tricky question. I asked him if he was nervous to talk to my Dad about marrying me. If he answered that yes, he was nervous to talk to my dad, I would know that he wouldn't be asking me to marry him in Florida. One of the things I told him was very important to me was that he talked to my Dad and got his permission before he asked me to marry him. I asked the question, and he said he was nervous. I thought dangit! but I relaxed about it and was just excited to spend some time with him and the my family that we were going to be spending our time with. Guess what I got on March 17th? A ring from Nicky Wayne!

Just before Nick was going to propose.
I look happy. He looks nervous :)
Time went on and we set the wedding day for August 12th. I don't think I could have even imagined a more perfect day. The weather was incredible, everything fell together perfectly. The day before, not so smoothly. But it's the wedding day that counts right?

So happy to finally be Mrs. Chadwick!
We're now living in our cute newlywed apartment, both working and going to school, and starting our (busy) happily ever after togeher.
