Nursing School Post #1

So, as one could probably assume, nursing school is freaking hard! My first test didn't go too well but I'm not too worried about it. I'm kinda figuring out how things work, how questions are worded, as well as how to stay sane. I have my first clinical on Tuesday too :)

Want to hear about what I've learned over the past couple weeks?
- How to insert catheters, feeding tubes, and suction tubes.
- How to do a physical assesment head to toe.
- How to care for wounds.
- How to stitch and remove sutures.
- What foods and diets certain patients have to eat.
- How to listen to lungs sounds, heart tones, bowel sounds, and abnormalities.
- How to write up care plans for patient care.
- and the list goes on.

I'm loving school and what I'm learning but the time it takes up is pretty overwhelming. I miss spending as much alone time with Nick but it makes me appreciate the time I do get to spend with him. 1 month down, 19 more to go :)
